Karadayı is a Turkish television drama series produced by Ay Yapım, broadcast onATV, and directed by Uluç Bayraktar (who also directed Ezel). It originally aired on 8 October 2012 in Turkey. The title "Karadayı" is a combination play on the word "Kabadayı" (a vigilante enforcer of justice) and Mahir Kara, the name of the series' protagonist. It stars Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Bergüzar Korel, and Çetin Tekindor. Its first season finale (Episode 36) was aired on 17 June 2013. Karadayı returned with a second season in September 2013 on ATV.35 year-old Mahir (Kenan İmirzalıoğlu) lives with his family in Istanbul of the 1970. He works with his father Nazif (Çetin Tekindor) as a shoe-maker. One day, Nazif Kara is imprisoned for a murder he did not commit. In an attempt to prove his father’s innocence, Mahir with the help of their lawyer Erdal, joins the court as a graduate lawyer trainee and meets the judge of his father’s trial. Feride Sadoglu (Bergüzar Korel) is a newly appointed judge to the court and close friend of Süleyman, the prosecutor Nazif Kara is accused of having murdered.
